about

There is a ton to say about this track, but perhaps another time. The only song to practically feature a whole band. Quite a journey this track is, and everyone really gets to shine. I pictured the middle being more of a Tangerine Dream thing, but Nick added drums to it and took it into a different direction. I can't help but smile when I hear him tearing it up on this one. He also lent some great vocals to the second chorus and bridge. Lyrically one of my favorites...-RM

lyrics

words
only words
could drive a stake right through the heart
of anyone left in its path like

time
when it's time
people open doors and say hello
to everything they'll leave behind
'cause everyone thinks their god will change its mind

that would be too simple

truth
just the truth
all i'm asking is an easy task
and what i get is nothing more than

glass
broken glass
cutting jagged little lies into my face
until i look away
when all i want is someone here to say...

"that would be too simple"

learning steals joyful thunder
ignorance, so easy
to have a happy ending
